Mardi Gras Week will run from Saturday 2nd March to Friday 8th March 2002.
Admission to the club will be absolutely free on every night of the week.
For the duration of the festivities the club will be adorned in the customary Mardi Gras colours of purple, green and yellow and the Mardi Gras mascot of the jester will be popping his head up all over the place.
So what's it really all about then? Well each night of the week will be dedicated to a different charity. Six local charities will have a night each giving them a unique opportunity to raise funds for their own deserving causes. The charities are keeping their plans well under wraps at the time of Pride Post going to press but we can all expect a few surprises!
Kremlin itself are planning a couple of special events for Mardi Gras Week.
On Tuesday night there will be a special edition of 'The Weakest Pink'. Following hot on the heels of Mardi Gras Week is Kremlin's 3rd birthday party. Yes, it's only been open 3 years! Those of us who have been to the previous two birthday parties will know that this is one of the best nights on the Belfast gay calendar. Special guests at this year's birthday bash are Jackie Clune, hot of the West End stage with her one-woman show, 'Jackie Clune's Bitchin Xmas' and Maria Nayler who you may remember from her hits 'One and One' with Robert Miles and 'Naked and Sacred'
So get out there and show your support for the many good causes benfitting from Mardi Gras Week.
Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY KREMLIN!
